2019 - 2020 MBAA Board
Molly serves as MBAA President. She received her bachelor’s degree from LSU in Industrial Engineering, as a part of the IE-MBA degree program, and is now specializing in Data Analytics. Molly spent the summer in Houston, TX as a Supply Chain Intern within the Supply Chain Excellence - Factory Optimization Team for Baker Hughes, where she worked on multiple projects which involved software implementation in manufacturing sites to track KPIs, as well as action workouts that accounted for ~$50k in annual lean savings.
Sam serves as Vice President of the MBAA. He received his bachelor’s degree from LSU in Economics with minors in Spanish and Political Science and is now double specializing in Internal Audit and Data Analytics. He spent the summer in Bentonville, AR, as a Global Audit Services intern at Walmart where he worked with the analytics group and conducted multiple operational audits.
Sarah serves as the MBAA Secretary. She is currently a second year MBA candidate. She received her bachelor’s degree from LSU in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources and she is now specializing in Human Resources Management within the MBA program. Sarah spent the summer in Houston, TX working in the Talent Management division at ExxonMobil specifically as the Competency Intern. She worked on numerous projects centered around employee skills health and developed a solution to better incorporate competency and experience data into staffing and development decisions.
Josue Diaz serves as Treasurer for the MBAA. He is an international student born and raised in El Salvador. He graduated from Nicholls State University with two degrees in Finance and Accounting. Currently, he is one of the Graduate Assistants for the Center for Internal Auditing at LSU and he serves as the internship coordinator for the MBA program. Even though he did not grow up playing football, he enjoys watching LSU play every weekend during the fall. During his free time, he likes to play tennis and soccer.
Madeline serves as the Communication Chair for the MBAA. She is currently a second year MBA student. While she graduated from LSU in May of 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences, she is now focusing on a concentration in Human Resource Management. Over the summer, she worked for Entergy in Hammond, LA as an HR intern in the benefits department. She gained experience with employee benefits management issues related to plan renewal and open enrollment, benefits enrollment and termination, troubleshooting employee benefits issues, and the customer service aspect of benefits oversight.
Cherie serves as Professional Development Chair for the MBAA. She received her bachelor’s degree from LSU in Human Resource Management and is specializing in Data Analytics. Cherie spent the summer interning at Hancock Whitney as a bank secrecy act analyst in their New Orleans, LA office where she worked on conducting investigations of suspect account activity using the bank resources.
Giovanni serves as the International Chair for the MBAA. He received his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from LSU in May 2019 and is now as a second year MBA student. He spent this summer in New Orleans, LA working in the Industrial Engineering department for United Parcel Service (UPS) where his efforts were focused on improving the transportation system by reducing the percentage of late loads arriving and departing from the facility. While he enjoyed his experience, he looks forward to whatever work opportunities find him in the future. Giovanni is excited to connect with his new, fellow MBAA members and looks forward to enjoying his last year in the program.
Alyssa serves as Co Social and Philanthropy Chair for the MBAA. Alyssa graduated from LSU in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies, and is now specializing in Non-Profit Management. Alyssa spent her summer as a Development Intern at Children's Hospital in New Orleans where she assisted in fundraising efforts and special event planning for the hospital.
Grace serves as Co Social and Philanthropy Chair for the MBAA. She is currently in her second year of the MBA program. While she graduated from LSU in May of 2018 with a degree in Civil Engineering and a minor in Business Administration, she is now focusing on a concentration in Human Resource Management. Over the summer, she worked at an engineering firm in Baton Rouge called Forte and Tablada where she helped with structural engineering design work. One day, she plans to use what she learned in this master’s program to serve in a management position still within the field of engineering.
Quin Graves serves as the Recreational Chair for the MBAA. He is from Monroe, LA and he attended LSU for his undergraduate degree in Finance. After graduating, he then went straight from undergrad to pursue his MBA. He is currently specializing in Data Analytics and Finance. This summer he had great opportunity to intern for ExxonMobil for their Controller’s division in Houston, TX. While at ExxonMobil, he had the opportunity to work with the Chemicals branch of the business. This internship allowed him to work with regional managers of different chemical plants across the globe and try to improve some of the financial processes they use to review financial data. It also allowed him to see all the new innovations that ExxonMobil was able to create within Chemicals to help with people’s everyday lives.
